Punters will gamble $5bn a year on mobile casino services 2012, says Juniper Research.
Its report ´Mobile Gambling: Casinos, Lotteries and Betting Delivery (4th edition)´ predicts strong growth in single-user games such as slot machines, and multiplayer gambling tournaments. The report also concludes: the gross ‘win’ from mobile casino services will rise from less than $5m in 2007 to $133m in 2012; the UK currently accounts for more than 60 per cent of total wagers; the UK proportion will be less that 20 per cent by 2012; average monthly wager levels have already exceeded $100 in several markets.
