Poland-based mobile games publisher also notches 6m users on its Tequila Planet platform.
Tequila Mobile has secured $1.7 million in funding from private investors based in Poland and the United Kingdom.
The company says that the acquired funds will be used to accelerate growth and expand the scale of its Tequila Planet mobile gaming platform, which has been recently opened for third party developers and now has 6 million users.
Tequila claims the platform is on track to have over 30 million unique users in 2012, with a target of more than 100 million in 2013.
In short, Tequila Planet (www.tequilaplanet.net) offers free-to-play mobile games across a variety of mobile platforms, with 'one click' virtual goods purchases.
Wojciech Woziwodzki, President & CEO of Tequila Mobile, said: "We are looking to 2012 with great optimism with free-to-play becoming the driving force of mobile gaming, our platform growing and with extra funds to propel its growth. In the last two years we have not only successfully launched the Tequila Planet platform, but we also managed to grow it to 6 million users in half a year while focusing heavily on expanding distribution beyond the crowded App Stores.
