Lets navigation users find nearby tweets and tweeters.
Telmap has announced the launch of a new location-aware Twitter widget for its mobile navigation service.
Users can find tweets from nearby their current location, including those from people they follow, but also the wider public.
The widget allows tweets to be replied to, and users can even set the tweeter's location as a waypoint to get driving directions.
The new widget will be offered through Telmap's Widgets Carousel, and the company says it's emblematic of a wider trend.
"As the digital and physical worlds converge, Telmap, who is a location-based services innovator, is proud to introduce such a bridge between worlds, enriching one’s physical, actual location at a specific moment in time with information about what their online, social network has to say about that location and its vicinity," says CMO Motti Kushnir.
