Telenor is testing a beta version of a mobile client for Facebook users.
The Norwegian operator is working with a small group to trial a Facebook mobile solution that lets users send instant messages and upload images to the social network straight from their mobile.The project has been developed by iLabs, a new R&D centre for Telenor, that has developed an open source toolbox, with which users can make their own mobile clients and participate in various network communities and blogs from the mobile terminal. Integration has also been done with Blogger, EZ Publish and Google Talk.
"Our target is to learn more about how we can create value and increase service innovation together with other players in our value system, including the end users," says Hilde Lovett, Project Manager in Telenor R&I.
