Tablet device seemingly not on the way any more.
TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington says the company is unlikely to launch its long-planned CrunchPad tablet, after a bitter falling out with manufacturing partner Fusion Garage.
Or, as Arrington puts it in an angry post: "the entire project self destructed over nothing more than greed, jealousy and miscommunication".
He's also published emails from Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan, which appear to reveal a disagreement over who should own the rights to the CrunchPad brand and name.
The device started life as a pet project for Arrington to build an internet tablet that would sell for $300. It was due to be unveiled this month at the tech blog's Real-Time Crunchup conference.
So long CrunchPad, then. However, 2010 looks set to see several similar devices launch, with Google touting its Android OS as being suitable for such gadgets. And, of course, there's the long-rumoured Apple iTablet...
