Taptu secures £6.45m in series B funding

Pure-play mobile search engine bags new cash from existing investors 3i and Sofinnova.

The UK company is bucking the trend with this bit of good news, and has also appointed Andreas Bernstrom as its new COO to drive fresh commercial growth and formulate Taptu’s mobile advertising strategy. Bernstrom has over 10 years experience in digital and was previously COO at TradeDoubler, a leading Internet marketing company.

Steves Ives, CEO of Taptu, said: “Taptu has had a stellar year, and now with this Series B funding from our investors, it's a great timing to bring Andreas on Board. He brings with him valuable experience that will help us drive Taptu forward as a business and will play an important part in developing our business presence overseas as well as maintaining momentum in the UK.”
