T-Mobile UK launches new web tariff

Operator says new £40 unlimited data plan will help it build momentum during 2009.

Reuters reports that T-Mobile UK will today introduce a new £40 a month tariff that includes unlimited web access.

The operator says the plan will help it build on a good start to 2009, in which it has turned around last year's decline in contract customers.

At the end of 2008 it had 16.8 million customers, down three per cent from 2007.

The new tariff appears to be a refresh of the Flext plan that T-Mobile first offered three years ago.

No doubt T-Mobile will be hoping to create interest in its new pricing plan with data/content-oriented devices such as its G1 Android phone.
