T-Mobile to shun Ovi handsets?

Reports in Germany suggest T-Mobile had dropped handsets that support Nokia's content services.

WirtschaftsWoche magazine in Germany is reporting that T-Mobile has dropped all Nokia handsets that support the Finnish company's Ovi content services, including Music Store and N-Gage etc.

The magazine says T-Mobile is currently offering just ten Nokia handsets compared to 15 a month ago.

A T-Mobile spokesperson confirmed the company is currently not supporting any Ovi handsets and is quoted as saying: "We are currently in negotiations with Nokia about the Ovi service and are pretty confident to find a solution soon."

It is unclear whether the decision applies to Germany only or T-Mobile's international operations.

Elsewhere Nokia's Ovi has been well-received, with O2, Vodafone and TIM among the big operators supporting the services.
