T-Mobile launches starry ad campaign for Android phone

Whoopi Goldberg (remember her?) features in the "largest product launch in T-Mobile history".

TechCrunch reports on the campaign for the Android myTouch, which will start running across all mainstream US media today.

Joining Whoopi in the line-up of star endorsees (who are probably wholly unfamiliar if you don't live in the US) are LA Lakers coach Phil Jackson and bikes-related TV presenter Jesse James.

The myTouch is made by HTC and is virtually the same as the Magic offered by Vodafone, with a 3.2 inch touchscreen and 3.2 megapixel camera. T-Mobile USA is offering it for $199.
