Operator confirms what many had been speculating.
Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has lifted the lid on its next Android-equipped device the HTC Hero – and T-Mobile has just confirmed that the handset will indeed be its new T-Mobile G1 Touch.
Orange earlier confirmed that it would be offering the same handset from July, but badged as Hero.
Promising ‘the ultimate in Android customisation’, T-Mobile says the Hero boasts a new digital skin dubbed HTC Sense that takes a leaf out of the Windows Mobile TouchFLO 3D book by allowing users to heavily customise the presentation and the home screen.
In theory this would allow users to set up things like Facebook and Twitter feeds directly on the device’s default page.
Other Hero specs include a 3.2” multi-touch screen, GPS, compass, 3.5mm headphone jack, video player, 5MP camera and a Flash-enabled browser.
