T-Mobile adds community stuff to Web'n'Walk

T-Mobile is to customise the Opera Mini web browser used on its  Web’n’Walk handsets to include community elements like photoblogging and image sharing.

The new ‘My Opera Community’ features also give users access to an exclusive T-Mobile group page with dedicated forums plus 300Mb of storage space for personal pages.

Web’n’Walk was launched in 2005 as the tariff for dedicated data users. It is available on a set number of handsets and offers all-you-can-eat browsing for a set fee per month.

Jon von Tetzchner, CEO for Opera Software, said: “My Opera presents a unique solution to operators such as T-Mobile, as it allows them to offer their customers attractive features such as photoblogging. This not only adds functionality to the web'n'walk offering, but also drives data traffic for T-Mobile."
