Deal to provide IM, email and social networking service to unnamed OEM worth $1.4m.
UK-based Synchronica 'next-gen' mobile messaging solutions are based around its infrastructure platform, Mobile Gateway.
The company specialises in bringing these advanced comms tools to feature phones in emerging markets, and appears to increased its footprint with this agreement, even though it hasn't specified in its release which device maker is the other party.
It is the third device manufacturer to license Mobile Gateway for the Indian market.
Synchronica CEO, Carsten Brinkschulte said: "This is a key contract win in what may soon become the most important mobile market globally.
"It again demonstrates the relevance of Synchronica¹s products in fast growing, highly competitive market...adding smartphone-like messaging services onto mass-market phones - at a fraction of the cost."
