Symbian boss blasts Android

Symbian boss blasts Android

Lee Williams says Google's OS is just a means to gather info for ad targeting. Fight!

The comments were made in an interview last week with Gigaom (via Pocketgamer), and included the assertion that Android was a means to 'cookie' users to track browsing habits and therefore help target ads.

Williams also ventures that Google is creating the 'perfect storm of fragmentation' that developers will find a hard environment in which to ensure return on investment.

He added: "I don't view Apple as evil, just greedy. Google... come on, when you have to say in your motto that 'we're not evil' – right away the first question in my mind is 'why do you have to tell me that?"
