VG Mobile claims its game is the most successful original IP title ever released.

Surviving High School first appeared on operator decks in 2005, with an '07-monikered sequel released last year.

The game was originally developed by Centerscore, which was acquired by Vivendi Games Mobile in 2006.

The release of Surviving High School '07 saw the France-based publisher employ a variety of viral marketing and web campaigns, including sites on Facebook and MySpace.

Paul Maglione, president of VG Mobile, said: "The success of the Surviving High School series confirms that innovative, original IPs and a constant flow of updated content plays an important role in the future success of mobile gaming."
