Sun Microsystems is set to acquire the assets of the Java tools provider SavaJe Technologies.
The Java-based SavaJe Mobile Platform accelerates the development of customisable and secure user interfaces for feature phone handsets. Sun’s open source Java language code is the basis of the vast majority of applications that are downloaded to mobiles.Sun did not reveal the financial details of their deal. They may emerge during the forthcoming JavaOne Conference scheduled for May 8th to May 11th in San Francisco.
