StrikeAd bags £2 million round

UK ad specialist gets cash to push on with overseas expansion.

StrikeAd is one of the few firms in the mobile ad space to represent advertisers and brands. Its technology platform, StrikeAd Fusion, promises better ROI by using technologies such as Real Time Bidding (RTB) and location-based targeting.

The new funding from venture capital firm DFJ Esprit, and follows a first-round investment of more than £1 million from German VC firm eValue last February.

In the intervening period, StrikeAd launched in New York and developed a strategic partnership with Tokyo-based ad firm Mediba.

Alex Rahaman, CEO of StrikeAd, said: ‘As well as supporting our expansion into the US market, the backing from DFJ Esprit will allow us to further our global expansion and continue to develop new areas of technology; such as cross-device targeting.’
