Capcom is set to launch one of the most successful fight games ever, Street Fighter II, on mobile.
The classic 90s hit has been re-developed from scratch for handsets and will hit North American carrier decks and www.capcommobile.com imminently. It allows players to control eight different fighters including Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, E Honda, Blanka, Zangief, Guile, and Dhalsim."Since the series debut 20 years ago, Street Fighter has defined the fighting genre, setting sales records as it makes its way to newer and newer platforms,” said Midori Yuasa, president of Capcom Interactive. "With the launch of Street Fighter II for mobile, history is once again poised to repeat itself by offering players the experience they know and love in an ultra portable package.”
Later this year, Capcom will publish Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for consoles including Xbox 360 and PS3.
