Streamezzo names new CEO

Mobile content enabler appoints Olivier Avaro as its top man as part of reshuffle.

Streamezzo's Board of Directors has appointed Olivier Avaro as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing the outgoing Pierre-Emmanuel Struyven.

Avaro, previously CTO at Orange Lab and responsible for initially spinning Streamezzo out of France Telecom, has also been appointed to the company's Board of Directors.

Simultaneously, entrepreneur Alain Tingaud has been appointed Chairman of the Streamezzo board.

On Avaro's appointment Tingaud said: “Olivier is the right leader for the company. He possesses the right combination of technology expertise and management experience as well as a seasoned know-how in international sales... His pragmatic and customer-driven attitude will bring the company to the next level in growth and excellence.”

Streamezzo has been busy this year, having launched a a developer programme, built SFR's Vodafone Live! UI and teamed with Samsung on the handset maker's media clients.
