Strada and MePlease team on mobile loyalty programme

National roll-out for scheme after 20 per cent sharing rates.

UK-based MePlease helps retailers and brand create offers, which are redeemed through SMS and create on-going loyalty between brand and customer.

Its loyalty product is known as ‘Join’ and counts existing partners including Cafe Rouge, Bella Italia, Cineworld, PizzaExpress, Ted Baker, Jack Wills and many more.

The UK-based restaurant chain Strada has already been trialling the system and found 20 per cent of users opted in to its VIP CLub shared details of offers.

Consumers who opt-in to Strada’s VIP club immediately receive a free glass of Prosecco or dessert, along with future rewards to come on their birthday and other special occasions.

Jemima Bird, marketing director at Tragus Group said: “We are very pleased with the MePlease loyalty programme. The high sharing rate of 20 per cent is especially good when you consider that even the very best viral advertising campaigns only generate ten per cent sharing rates.

"This is just the beginning though of what we think is a great customer relationship in the mobile social age. Using MePlease we can communicate with our customers in a much more personalized way and reward them for being great brand ambassadors when they share through Facebook or Twitter."
