It seems China Mobile and Apple still can't find a way to team up and sell the iPhone.
According to Chinese news agency Interfax, talks between the giant state-owned operator and the single-minded Californian house of cool have broken down yet again - this time over Apple's insistence on selling software direct to consumers via the App Store. China Mobile would rather sell apps its own way, one that wouldn't involve credit cards.Discussions between the two have been off and on for two years. With over 400 million subs, China Mobile would be a huge prize for Apple if the two parties could agree a deal. The original sticking point was the handset price.
