Hospital says 'prognosis is good' for Apple's CEO.
The Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute in Tennessee has confirmed that Steve Jobs has had a liver transplant.
It did not reveal when the operation was carried out, but the Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend that the procedure took place two months ago.
Yesterday a Reuters reporter said they had spotted Jobs at Apple's HQ, with many now speculating that he'll be back in the hot seat by the end of this month following six months of medical leave.
Jobs was also quoted in yesterday's one million iPhone 3G S sales press release, the first time that has happened since he went on leave.
According to Sky News the Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute said: "Mr Jobs is now recovering well and has an excellent prognosis."
