But did he really describe it as 'bullshit'?
With Google Maps and YouTube HD present and correct on the iPad, are Apple and Google friends again? Well...
Last week saw Apple CEO Steve Jobs hold a company 'town hall', where employees could ask questions about the iPad, and Apple's overall strategy.
According to secondhand reports, the event saw Jobs tear into Google, when asked about the two companies' relationship. Here's Wired's paraphrased report:
"We did not enter the search business, Jobs said. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won’t let them, he says. Someone else asks something on a different topic, but there’s no getting Jobs off this rant. I want to go back to that other question first and say one more thing, he says. This don't be evil mantra: “It’s bullshit.” Audience roars"
However, another tech blog, Daring Fireball, claims that the actual quote about Google's mantra was that it's "a load of crap". Either way, it seems the two companies are very much 'frenemies' rather than friends.

Wired's report also cites Jobs as criticising Adobe for being "lazy", and saying that "the world is moving to HTML5" rather than Flash - again, this is reported speech.
Meanwhile, Mac site MacRumors has more details from the event, saying that Jobs promised aggressive iPhone OS updates to keep ahead of Google's Android, and that the next iPhone will be an A+ update.
