Caffeine boost for check-in fanatics.

Starbucks is the latest brand to launch a marketing partnership with social location service Foursquare: and this time, users will benefit.

Well, some users. Anyone who's become the Foursquare mayor of a Starbucks outlet in the US can now get $1 off a Frappuccino drink there, until 28th June.

It's one of the first examples of Foursquare's loyalty program in action, helping users get real-world benefits for their activity within its app.

"Starbucks is particularly innovative as it relates loyalty and social media," Foursquare's business development boss Tristan Walker tells Mashable. "We continue to be super excited to explore this intersection with them."

Starbucks has previously launched its own iPhone app, which lets people pay for their coffees in-store.
