Tonight we're going to RPG-party like it's 1987. Or 1988.
Japanese games giant Square Enix has launched its first two Final Fantasy games for iPhone.
We really do mean its first two: the games are ports of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, which were originally released in 1987 and 1988.
The games include bonus dungeons from later editions of the games, while the interfaces have been jazzed up for iPhone's touchscreen.
It's the latest example of a big console publisher testing the waters on iPhone with ports of some of its retro classics.
It will be interesting to see if Square Enix ramps up its commitment to iPhone with an entirely new Final Fantasy game in the future. Far-fetched? Maybe not: the company has release unique FF titles for mobile in Japan.

Both iPhone games come with premium pricing on the App Store - $8.99 apiece.
