US operator says it will be able to offer high performance Java and native apps.
Sprint has confirmed it will be offering devices and content powered by Qualcomm's Brew Mobile Platform OS.
The technology was conceived by Qualcomm last year as an 'out of the box' solution that enables operators to deliver mobile content services across both smartphones and feature phones.
So far cable giant Cox Communications has also signed up as a customer for BREW Mobile Platform (which is the 'open' evolution of the BREW content ecosystem, which has been used by the likes of Verizon Wireless).
For its part Sprint hasn't said when it will begin offering BMP services, which encompass native, Java and Flash content.
