Sprint is to offer the Palm Pre from June 6th on an exclusive basis for $199.99 with a two-year contract, after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The touchscreen-based Pre As is equipped with Palm's new webS, 8GB memory, GPS, Wi-Fi, slide out keyboard, EV-DO 3G, web-based apps, email, 3 MP camera, music, video etc.
The hype surrounding the device has single-handedly revived Palm's fortunes over the last six months.
Back in March Anyway, Bloomberg surveyed ten analysts and came up with a median forecast of 2.6 million Pre sales in its first year of availability, compared to 6.1 million iPhones sold during the same period in its own life cycle.
