Spotify may adjust biz model for US

If only sexy music streaming firm would say exactly what it will be.

Andres Sehr, Spotify’s global community manager, has said the company is “looking at a slightly different model in the US”, but that it’s too early to say how.

In Europe it offers a free ad-supported service and a premium version that costs about €10 (about $16.60) a month.

Spotify is available in the UK, Sweden, France, Spain, Norway and Finland. It has more than 2 million users in the UK and more than 5 million in Europe.

Licensing agreements are keeping Spotify from becoming available sooner in the US, but it should be live by the end of the year or early 2010.
