The firm's CEO Daniel Ek told the South by Southwest event in Texas that Spotify is making good progress on the premium side and gathering 1,000 new paid users a day.
That 320,000 figure equates to around 3.2m euros a month or 38.4m euros a year.
Ek still won't be drawn on a date for a US launch.
Spotify now has around seven million users across six European countries. It recently made its ad-funded service by invitation only.
Clearly, mobile is massively important to the firm, and there have been multiple announcements in mobile since the first Android and iPhone deals were confirmed last summer.

Just this week, 3UK said it would bundle Spotify with the new Sony Ericsson Vivaz.
Ek said the amount of music in Spotify – 10 million tracks – means discovery is a key issue that needs to be addressed.
“Search is only one solution,” he said. “What Spotify won’t be is another social network. We’ll piggyback on existing social networks to use their social graph and functions. You’ll be able to use that to discover new playlists and what people are listening to.”
