Joins commercial-free premium version.
Spotify has launched the free model of its streaming app on the Amazon Appstore for the Kindle Fire.
It builds on recent launches that introduced the preference-based Spotify Radio app to iOS and Google Play.
Users will be able to listen to music of their choosing without charge, though the experience will be interrupted with adverts (the usual caveat) in hope that they'll convert to the $9.99 a month ad-free model.
Spotify now has 4m paying subscribers, up from one million in January, and 15m monthly active users in total.
