New iOS version to offer words for more than 1m tracks.
The move marks the latest escalation in what you can get for free from these music ID services.
SoundHound, like its close rival Shazam, has moved from limited tags for free to unlimited. Now, version 4.2 for iOS is throwing in LiveLyrics too.
This permits:
* Double-tapping any line of lyrics to fast-forward or rewind a track
* One-tap access to iTunes songs and SoundHound’s artist bios, videos, and top songs for iTunes tracks
* Sharing to Twitter and Facebook with a single tap. Shares to Twitter now also include the artist’s Twitter handle
SoundHound currently has over 50m users and generates over four million music searches a day.
