Sony rejigs multiplatform TV operation

Recently-acquired 2waytraffic brought within Sony Pictures Television International's production group.

Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) is placing 2waytraffic and its existing production operations under one roof.

The move follows last year’s acquisition of Netherlands-based mobile, web and interactive TV specialist 2waytraffic and investments in several independent production companies across Europe.

As part of the restructuring, Kees Abrahams (previously CEO of 2waytraffic) is now SPTI’s president, international production, and runs SPTI’s entire production portfolio, including 2waytraffic.

2waytraffic's portfolio of formats includes Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Take It Or Leave It and You Are What You Eat.

SPTI has also appointed Mike Morley as its executive vice president and chief creative officer of international production, reporting to Abrahams and based in London.
