Spider-Man 3 and Jeopardy will lead the Sony Pictures Television mobile game release slate for the remainder of 2007.
The newly-unveiled line-up features a mix of film franchises, PlayStation brands, TV show tie-ins, puzzles and arcade classics.2D sideways-scroller Spider-Man 3 leads the charge as SPT looks to maximise the film's box office draw over the summer. There's also a Spider-Man Puzzle title that draws on content from all three movies.
Jeopardy 2007, meanwhile, freshens up the evergreen gameshow brand, which has been a hit online for several years. The latest incarnation is a subscription game with new content delivered on a monthly basis.
Elsewhere, God of War: Betrayal marks the first appearance on mobile for the eponymous PlayStation 2 game. The mobile version is based on an original story from the creators of the console version.
One thumb action is provided in the form of Jump That Car, while Snoop Dogg Cruisin’ does pretty much what it says on the tin - players cruise around in a customised low rider car and earn respect and virtual money from their hopping and tilting prowess.
Eric Berger, VP of mobile entertainment at SPT, said: "Sony Pictures Television continues its tradition of robust mobile offerings with the release of these games. Building from our vast library of properties, we’re developing the most compelling and engaging games for both casual players and gamers."
Other SPT titles available now include James Bond: Casino Royale, Wheel of Fortune 2007, Fish ‘N Tunes, Ghostbusters, Ratchet & Clank, Q*Bert, Pop n’ Drop, Elevator Action and Snoop Dogg Boxing.
