Who said nobody's interested in mobile TV? Sony Ericsson says its PocketTV show has been watched more than 2.5 million times.
Admittedly, the show isn't just available for mobile phones. Each episode is uploaded to YouTube too. There, episodes are split into six separate clips too, bumping up the total views.
Even so, Sony Ericsson tells TechRadar that the show has been gaining momentum during the first nine weekly episodes, increasing in views every week rather than tailing off.
PocketTV kicked off in June, and focuses on live sessions, interviews with bands and behind-the-scenes footage. JA Digital and Iris Experience are making the show for Sony Ericsson.
It's just the latest example of a mobile brand getting into music TV, following in the footsteps of T-Mobile Transmission on Channel 4 and Nokia's Green Room show.
