Enhanced messaging application to be embedded on C905 Cyber-shot handset.
Sony Ericsson has announced a deal with mobile messaging provider Fun Text to pre-load the latter's app onto the C905 plus, which 3 UK is to launch in Q2.Fun Text will enable access to online galleries of animation and video content designed for messaging – from ecards to emoticons, from viral videos to virtual gifts.
The application also integrates with the address book on the handset.
Fun Text is already provided by the likes of 3, T-Mobile and Sprint and supported with content from Turner Broadcasting and American Greetings.
James Pycock, business development director at Fun Text, said: “With 8.1 megapixels, the C905 already enables the best in user generated content and we are delighted to complement this with the best in professionally generated content.”
