Two-year plan towards profitability and increased market share.
Sony Ericsson's chief exec-elect Bert Nordberg has told Reuters that he expects the company to be profitable and have increased its market share within two years.
Nordberg is taking over from incumbent Dick Komiyama on October 15th following a turbulent 18 months for the JV, that has seen sales and profits tumble.
Conceding a need for "smash hit products", Nordberg said Sony Ericsson's current programme of restructuring would be accompanied by a "strategic refocus of its product portfolio".
