The device offers the usual music functions, but also introduces the Zappin key to make searching faster. Users can press the key to preview the chorus of the next song.
There's also a karaoke function that reduces the volume of the vocal track.
Mix Walkman wasn't the only new phone launched. There's also the txt pro, which has a full slide-out qwerty keyboard combined with a friends application for social networking.
Both phones are Android-based touchscreens, and will be available globally in selected markets from Q3
The first to see them both were the firm's Facebook fans.

Quentin Cordier, global product marketing manager at Sony Ericsson, said: "We wanted to take advantage of our extensive Facebook fan base when announcing these phones, bringing the fans closer to both our products and brand.
