Music-based Pocket TV to go live on June 4th via mobile and YouTube.
The firm says this launch acknowledges youth’s shift from traditional TV viewing to new digital platforms. Pocket TV will be free to download in five weekly 90 second segments to any handset through a dedicated WAP site (pockettvshow.mobi).
Three minute segments will be accessible theough a YouTube channel at youtube.com/pockettvshow.
The shows will feature interviews with artists and bands, live sessions and behind the scenes features. There will also be coverage of 'youth culture'.
Episode one includes Hockey playing an acoustic set in a greasy spoon café, and interviews with N-Dubz and Florence and the Machine.
The show, ad-funded by Sony Ericsson, is a component of the brand’s ‘not as you know it’ concept announced in April 2009.
