All about 'connected experience' for Ericsson-less handset maker.
The Xperia P and Xperia U join the Xperia S in the Xperia NXT series, which is Sony's family of next generation smartphones.
As before, the new devices come bundled with the film and music streaming services, Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited, and are designed to work with the related offerings on TV and PC.
Both Android phones have design features including the "transparent element" – a band that encircles the base of the phone and also integrates invisible antenna components.
It illuminates when receiving calls, texts and notifications.
The pair also boast Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA display engine and 1 GHz dual-core processors.
Xperia P and Xperia U will be available to consumers globally in the second quarter of this year.
