Skyfire mobile browser blazes into UK

The Skyfire mobile internet browser has formally launched in old Blighty.

The browser, already live in the US and Canada, connects a Windows Mobile or Symbian phone to the web via its own proxy service, which re-renders any full web content viewable on the mobile screen. In theory it makes pages faster to load and handles tricky stuff like Flash, Ajax, Silverlight, streaming video and so on.

Skyfire v0.85 is available for direct download/sideload the application to their smartphone. Additionally, Skyfire no longer requires registration.
