Joint venture with Sony to offer video and film content to blossoming handheld.
Watch out mobile - Sony and pay TV giant Sky have formed a joint venture company to deliver on-demand video and film downloads to PSP in the UK and Ireland, with the aim of making the machine the leading video download platform in the market.In May Sony and telecoms provider BT struck a deal to provide PSP users with access to a wide range or wi-fi internet services, including VOIP telephone calls.
And in the US Sony has confirmed it plans for a 'PSP Store' allowing gamers to download a wide variety of content via a wi-fi network.
For the UK video service discussions have already begun with the huge number of content providers who already have strong working relationships with Sky.
