Ip.access claims new plug-in home device will eradicate signal loss
The BBC is reporting that a new device called the Femtocell will bring to an end the need for home mobile users to head out to the garden in the quest for a strong mobile phone signal. The device, from a company named Ip.access, plugs into an existing internet connection and routes the call through the internet as opposed to the mobile phone network.
“We always had the vision that the technology would be cheap enough to be in the home,” Stephen Mallinson, ip.access CEO stated. The company has just launched a 3G Femtocell, targeted directly at home users, which could also bring high-speed mobile broadband into the home.
