Sidekick adds content store

UK users of the T-Mobile Sidekick have a new on-device catalogue to buy content from.

The Sidekick ‘Catalogue’ offers short description of the applications and the chance to ‘preview’ them before downloading. Content available will include games, ringtones from the major record labels, themes and backgrounds, as well as personal productivity and Web 2.0 applications.

Sidekick maker Danger is making Catalogue available as part of its software and services offering to operators. All Content is optimised specifically for the device, so games and applications can interact with other onboard applications such as push email, instant messaging and the full html web browser.
