E-commerce firm moves to improve its mobile offering.
Shopify's platform allows businesses to set up an online storefront where they can list items for sale, add images, tags and process payments from the likes of PayPal.
Clients include Angry Birds maker Rovio Mobile, whose service processed just under four million orders in 2011 worth $275 million in sales.
Now, having recently secured $15 million in funding, Shopify has swooped into mobile with the purchase of app developer Studio Select Start (S3).
S3 co-founder and CEO Tariq Zaid will join Shopify with 20 mobile engineers and designers to develop a series of new mobile products.

We're already cooking up some really exciting innovations that show just how game changing mcommerce will be."
