First film promo campaign is Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.
The mobile discovery service broadened its reach into the silver screen following its recent expansion beyond music and into TV.
Its deal with film studio 20th Century Fox will allow users to access exclusives for the forthcoming release of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked via Shazam for TV.
By using the Shazam app to tag the film advert, viewers can download a free version of the soundtrack's single, 'Vacation', and view an extended trailer and film clips.
Additional features include redirection to Amazon to purchase the first two Alvin and the Chipmunks films, the option to buy Chipwrecked tickets and also make use of social media sharing to spread the word on Facebook.
Fox will integrate Shazam for TV into its television ads for the furry flick, which is released on December 16th.
