And the music discovery service is targeting 100 million by the end of this year
Shazam's global user base has topped 75 million, having added 25 million in the last six months.
The company also revealed that it has identified more than one billion songs to date, with the one billionth track none other than David Guetta's Gettin' Over.
To recap, Shazam's services allow users to users to identify what song is playing, preview 30 second clips, buy the track, find local and international tour dates for the tagged artist and purchase tickets to the gigs.
The company has reaped the rewards of the app store boom - its revenue increased by 60 per cent to £7.3 million in the 12 months following the debut of its iPhone app in July 2008.
Since its App Store debut Shazam has rolled apps out onto several other platforms, including Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, iPad and Windows Phone.

Shazam CEO Andrew Fisher said: “Thanks to our loyal fan base and support from our partners Shazam has achieved an impressive 100 per cent growth in the last year.
"We are confident that the user growth we have seen in the last six months will continue throughout 2010 and that we will exceed 100 million Shazamers by the end of the year."
