Selatra scores with Subbuteo

Flicking fingers at the ready - Selatra has released a mobile version of Subbuteo to celebrate four decades of the table-top footie game.

The Ireland-based publisher picked up the Subbuteo licence from Hasbro, with Creative North Studios handling development duties on the game.

Subbuteo Mobile is rolling out now across Selatra's 55 country distribution footprint, with the company hoping the game will strike a chord with fans of the original Subbuteo and newbies alike.

Selatra CEO Sean Cronin said: "Subbuteo is 40 years old this year and there are many fans with fond memories of playing hard fought tournaments. The mobile version has the ability to excite a whole new generation of football fans and we are delighted at the trust Hasbro has placed in us.

Phil Mundy, CEO of Creative North, said: "There are plenty of skill practice opportunities for new players, so you don’t have to be familiar with the original game to play it."
