New partnership aimed at bolstering cross-platform, free-to-play gaming strategy.
In a move to further strengthen its cross-platform, free-to-play strategy, Sega has today announced that it has partnered with games studio Gogogic.
Sega has joined forces with the Icelandic games studio to develop a new build and battle game named Godsrule: War of Mortals a free, cross-platform offering scheduled for release early this year.
“We choose our partners carefully and Gogogic has a demonstrated ability in creating top-flight games that resonate with their players,” said Chris Olson, vice president of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We look forward to building new worlds with them.”
As a leading developer of multiplayer games for browsers and mobile devices, Reykjavík-based Gogogic’s games span multiple platforms. These include such titles as Tiny Places and MMO, Vikings of Thule.
Godsrule is currently in Closed Beta for browser and iPad. Players can register at http://www.playgodsrule.com and receive free premium currency for a limited time.
