Sega is game for the ME awards

Sega Mobile has put its significant weight behind the Mobile Entertainment Awards, signing up as the Platinum sponsor of the much-awaited September bash.

The deal ensures significant promotion for the games publisher in the run-up to the event and headline billing on the night itself. Darren Newnham, business development manager for Sega Europe, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us. We have big plans ahead and the Mobile Entertainment  Awards event will be the perfect venue for us to show the industry where we’re heading.”

Aspiring nominees for the 19 Mobile Entertainment awards have until July 14th to get their submissions in. Well over a hundred submissions have already been received and the judges will decide their final shortlists in late-July. Overall winners will be decided by a panel of over 250 carefully-selected content biz execs and revealed on September 19th at the Kensington Royal Garden Hotel in London.

Full details of the awards categories, nomination requirements and judging process are available from the www.mobile-ent.biz/awards web site.

The event is being also supported by Infospace and Player X, with more sponsors to be announced. For details of table sales and other ticket enquiries contact  kathryn.humphrey@bhpr.co.uk. Those seeking sponsorship opportunities should contact simon.harvey@bhpr.co.uk.
