Standalone service for finding new games.
Mobile social gaming platform Scoreloop has launched a new standalone Android app to help people find new games.
The app ties into the Scoreloop community, allowing people to manage their friends, social network connections and Scoreloop profile.
However, it will also provide a news feed of what games those friends are playing, which Scoreloop says will boost discovery on Google's smartphone OS.
Scoreloop recently announced that it was adding 100,000 new users a day, fuelled by its expansion to Android from iPhone.
Discoverability is a sensitive issue on Android Market - developers regularly complain about Google's store - so Scoreloop is hoping its app will fill the gap.

"When you’re looking for a game, with thousands to choose from, those games that your friends are playing are your best bet."
Android developers already working with Scoreloop include Boolba Labs, Goodteam Lab, JiuzhangTech and HyperBees.
Alongside the new app's release, Scoreloop has updated its developer SDK with more social discovery and cross-promotion features.
There's a dark cloud on the horizon though: Android-owner Google just bought SocialDeck, a social mobile gaming company with a community platform called Sparks...
