Scoreloop brings social gaming to Samsung's bada platform

Latest partner for platform service.

Mobile social gaming platform Scoreloop has announced another big partner: Samsung.

The company will be providing its Scoreloop Social Gaming SDK to developers for use on Samsung's bada platform.

That means bada games will be able to tap into Scoreloop's leaderboards, achievements, challenges, profiles, social network integration and virtual goods features.

Scoreloop will also port its games discovery app to bada, helping people find Scoreloop-enabled games, and see what their friends are playing.

"Extending the Scoreloop ecosystem to bada brings the mobile gaming market one step closer to connected, making it easier and more attractive for developers to go cross platform," says Scoreloop boss Marc Gumpinger.

"Support across a wide range of devices and features such as in-app purchases makes this platform in particular very interesting for developers."

Scoreloop started as an iOS-only platform, before broadening out to Android. The company recently inked a deal with PayPal to provide in-app payments for Android games.
